give his Inaugural Professorial Lecture at the
University of Otago, Dunedin, on 23 September 2009. His
lecture is going to cover his three decades of so of
research on penguins and it is called,
“Marching with
Penguins.”

be part of a panel discussion on the influence of
Charles Darwin, held as part of the University of Otago
library’s Darwin exhibition to commemorate the 200th
anniversary of his birth and the 150th anniversary of
the publication of “On the Origin of
Species.” LSD will be talking
about Darwin’s voyage on the Beagle.
